- No text or voice data is ever uploaded to our servers.
3. Explanation of Required Permissions
To function correctly, the extension requires certain Chrome permissions. Here is exactly why they are needed:
activeTab&Host Permissions (<all_urls>): Required so the extension can inject the visual reading widget into the website you are currently viewing and extract the paragraphs you want to read.scripting: Required to execute the code that highlights text and displays the live transcription box on your screen.storage: Required to save your personal preferences (such as Dark/Light mode, selected language, and voice type) and to keep a local log of your reading history. This data is stored strictly on your computer's hard drive and never leaves your device.
4. Third-Party Services
Because we do not collect data, we do not share data with third parties. We do not integrate with third-party tracking scripts, ad networks, or analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
